STAYED UP ALL NIGHT TO START....WHAT'S GNU?
Janet, I only sleep in small snatches too. A couple hours at a time, then wake up.
I spent the morning getting a GRAND fix. We sat in the hallway and played with race cars. Matthew (23 months) had to show me how to make them run. Some have to be shaken, others you pull back and let them go, some just push and they go. Lots of giggles and shrieks of laughter.
We sat at their little table as I had regular coffee and they drank "white coffee". I fill two espresso cups with warm milk, put a dollop of whipped cream on top, and insert a tiny spoon. We shared a plate of cheese sticks which I cut into tiny pieces. A feast!! My butt actually fits in their little wooden rocking chair.
When it was time to leave, both kids were yelling "No, stay forever and forever". Ahh, such love.
My kitchen is a disaster area, laundry is calling and I have to get ready for work. Life is GOOD!
Kisses
Annette
Good Friday morning all.
George, all I can say is WOW!!!
Janet, how was your egg?
Bon Voyage, Sheri
Brenda, I so feel your pain. I LOVE my Sissy, but I'm so glad she lives way up in another state!
Kathi - I love crochetting baby things especially. It sure keeps my hands busy.
Annette - Ain't grands, grand!
I had both grandsons spend the night. They were both here from yesterday afternoon, eating, napping, watching movies with Grandpa (PoohPa). I still also have the dogs. I guess the NewYear's Eve party at their house went great. The boys said they think it broke up about 5:30AM, they were both asleep by then. The house was full of people sleeping everywhere when they came down here for breakfast at 1PM. Lots of the people live within a block and they walked to and from the party. Many had teenagers who were the designated drivers. The others crashed at our son's house somewhere.
I imagine that today DIL and son will finish cleaning up the house and come get the dogs at some point. They are good dogs and we enjoy having them. I have 2 HUGE chicken pot pies in the freezer I will pull out for lunch when everyone gets around.
My DH woke up with the realization that his WLS is 30 days away! He is sooo ready. It will be almost a year since he decided he wanted to get the lap band. It seems forever ago! We are both very excited! We have another friend who goes to Tijuana on Monday to get banded by my doctor. He made the decision just 2 weeks ago (he's been waffling about it for a year though). Ahh, the joys of self pay and no comorbidities!
Everyone have a fantabulous Friday!
Yesterday was a bust. Gary wanted to go to an estate auction and asked if I wanted to go. I'd never been to one, and can tell you, I probably won't be going to another. It was the local thrift store on steroids. They had an area set up outside (43 degrees, mind you) and then stuff inside. I opted to stay inside and read old cookbooks while Gary hung outside bidding on the stuff he wanted. An hour later, he'd blown his budget and I was trying hard not to sleep in my metal folding chair. I didn't think we'd be gone that long, so didn't take any protein bars or snacks, and ended up having some popcorn--theater style---wayyyyyy too salty. This morning my weight is up 1.2 lbs from the dang salt. So, I'll be floating by the end of the day, pushing the fluids to get rid of the salt.
I'm rambling. Obviously I don't have anything interesting to say, so off I go to get ready for work. Hope you all have a wonderful day today. Remember I love ya all!

i'll live
did nothing yesterday-watched hallmark movies and slept
michael is at PT and i have plasma tonite- i think he is freecycling today too
george- your new pic looks even more like some of my birth dad when he was in his 40's and 50's-scary!!! sorry- looks good tho!
need to get some protein in and tame my hair-it was wrapped in the wet towel way too long after i washed it so am thinking hot curlers might do it....
michael got a letter wednesday from worker's comp- they have scheduled him with a dr on jan 13th to be sure he is receiving adequate care--read that they want to make him at MMI no matter what-so of course his crazed man attitude took over-doom and gloom etc..major fight weds cuz i refuse to be taken down with him and his attitude.....well- it won't be pretty if it happens however it won't be the end of the world either -at least i had some warning before i pay some bills in case i have to divert money into other places like paying the utilities....our housing situation is getting glummer (more glum???) and i really had hoped to list next month- we shall see..i know janet-call the mortgage company- i'm just whinin here....anyhow-this is heavy on my mind and tainted the new year already...i have to think that we knew that someday it would come- and thank goodness i now work 35 hours per week vs 20 or none! anyhow- sorry to go on!
well- need protein...and back to bed for awhile...
hugs and prayers....
I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

And I will continue to tell you to call your mortgage company. They have a department set up to handle people who are in glummer straits....a majority of the houses I sell are the ones that the owners were too proud to call and get help.
Sorry...but it's sound advice. If you are going 'whine' about it, I'll give you the 'cheese' to go with it.
Janet
Well here it is January 2 and I'm back at work. I have special allowance to work today since I am assisting in the training of the new employees otherwise I would have been "off". It's nice because I only have to use 1 vacation day for the week which is great because I tend to use all my ET during the year! Have lots of sick time, but not much et time.
Not much new here in my neck of the woods, I used my machine all night last night and feel better today. Did some knitting yesterday and some picking up. Tonight after work just have to clean the bathrooms and pick up house, sweep and dust for party tomorrow night. I got a honey baked ham the other day, can you believe a medium sized one for $51???? I had $35 off on it so it wasn't so bad, but geesh!
guess I should get back to work. Today was payday and I did sneak online to my bank to make the house payment. Should be getting more of my Christmas presents today too, my brother and his family gave me an Amazon.com gift certificate and I used it! So far I have used up all my gift certificates this year except for the PetSmart one. That will come next week when I have buy dog food again!
Have a good second day of the brand new year everyone! hugs and love!

I am glad that everyone is doing okay.....so far the new year is starting off good.
Wishing you all a wonderful day. Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning Red and Friends!
Janet, it's great to see your grin this morning. We have a couple more inches of white stuff. Yuck! I know I sound like a broken record but I guess this is the "every 5 years or so" we talk about here in the desert of SE Washington. I mean, REALLY, we get 6-8 inches of TOTAL Precipitation per YEAR!!!!! Nothing like Spokane, where Cheryl is, north of us, but we're already over. I guess not, tho, since, the big "dump" was in December of '08. New year, new opportunities for setting another record!
Went walking with a couple of my new neighbors yesterday. Plan to go today at 8:30. Think I'll put on my boots and go even if they back out. Trying to get back into that daily get out and get moving mode. Too much sitting on my keester last year and it shows on the scale.
Bought a new deep merlot colored leather swivel, rocker recliner that will be delivered this afternoon. We didn't buy much new, just great room sofa, tv, and this chair. Think we're about through spending. Charged everything we could, including appliances, then paid it off when the bills came in. My "miles" are great! Can't wait to find the time to use them. Look out world here I come!
Son and girlfriend are returning from Boise today. Sure hope the roads don't get much worse. It's a 4-5 hour trip in good weather. If it's snowing here it is probably nasty along the way from there. I'll stay busy and try not to worry til they arrive. Have a London Broil marinating, fresh Asparagus (from Peru of all places and GOOD!), and long grain and brown rice. Love those London Broilds. When they are on sale I buy several. When marinated in something as simple as Italian dressing then grilled or broiled they are so tender. Leftovers are great for breakfast or steak salads or French dips.
All y'all have a good Friday.
